Web Hosting Virtual Trade Shows
At this uncertain moment in the event industry, many organizers have begun moving their conferences and events online using virtual platform solutions such as those provided by service providers.
As there are multiple elements involved in organizing an effective virtual trade show or exhibition, planning decisions need to consider attendee experience as part of this planning. We reached out to representatives from four virtual event platform companies – Curtis O’Keefe from Communique Conferencing; Eric Vidal from InterCall’s product marketing director Eric Vidal; Martina Ori from Hyperfair marketing program manager Hyperfair’s marketing program manager Hyperfair’s Martina Ori; Jeff Heisler senior account executive of INXPO- for their best advice when organizing web-only tradeshows or events.
Begin with goals. Setting out objectives for a virtual event before beginning can help to ensure you create value for attendees and exhibitors, and guide the content development process.
Early and often promotion. Use social media and webinars in the weeks preceding a virtual event to spread word of its agenda, generating buzz about its presence and building excitement for attendees. The more anticipation can be generated for your virtual event, the better!
Once your event concludes, keep the momentum alive by soliciting feedback, sending in-depth informational materials, and showing support to attendees. Glue Up offers Membership Engagement Scorecard as an efficient means of gathering data from members during events to discover their thoughts and preferences.
