The Invisible Ink printer: A Wonderful Creation For Safety Purposes
Do you have troubles printing in colors and trying to hide them from the eyes of the unwanted ones? Or do you find it hard to keep some top secret official files away from trespassers? If you knew about this, it’s really good, but if you never had, here’s it; the invisible ink printer. This printer was started to be used commercially only for the past few years.
Previously this invisible ink printer was only limited to government offices and officials in their houses. The main purpose was to print top secret official governmental documents and files, and keep them away from the eyes of thieves even if they get into their hands.
The Ink
The invisible ink is a substance previously used for writing secret codes and messages. This type of ink would be written on something and later when it is read it would be made visible by some means. This type of ink has been used in spying jobs for a long time, but was never used commercially by the general public.
Previously the ink was made from traditional ingredients, such as from milk, lemon, apple or orange juice, onion juice, sugar solution, diluted honey, diluted cola drink, vinegar or wine, or even soap water. The writing is then made visible by heating the paper, either by placing it on radiator or an oven or even by ironing it. Nowadays, for an invisible ink printer cartridge, usually it is made from chemicals such as Phenolphthalein, Ammonia, Copper sulfate, Lead (II) nitrate, Iron sulfate, Cobalt chloride, Copper sulfate, Starch, or Sodium Chloride. And this ink is made visible by viewing under ultraviolet light, black light for fluorescent ink, or by applying a chemical appropriate for the ink used.
The Printer
Just like a normal color printer, the invisible color printer prints the same way. The paper would be readable under an ultraviolet light. Most of such printers can be found to print business forms by corporate companies for their own usage or reference, such as by the postal service in printing bar codes on envelopes, or even in the art industry as well.
The invisible ink printer here refers to the typical inkjet printer, and the only difference is the invisible ink cartridge. The cartridge on the same side, looks the same as every color cartridge, the only difference is the content of it. There are many printers that are used to print very high resolution pictures or documents in invisible or fluorescent color, and on special paper, which does not get spoilt by this type of ink.
