Web Hosting Apache Kafka
Apache Kafka is an open-source streaming processing platform designed to handle continuous data streams with high throughput, low latency and scalable architecture suitable for Big Data requirements. Originally developed at LinkedIn to meet internal data flow needs and now maintained by Confluent.
Kafka provides a publish-subscribe model, enabling applications to subscribe to data streams of records or events. Kafka uses partitions to distribute its data at scale; each topic (or “data log”) has its own partition. When an application wants to access it, they connect directly to that partition – typically via Java, Python or Go client libraries.
Kafka technology includes tools such as the Confluent Schema Registry and ksqlDB that perform SQL-like queries against data in Kafka topics, making these tools useful in real time to transform and process data through Kafka’s streaming API.
Managed service providers offer businesses a range of services to deploy, manage, and utilize Kafka for event stream processing. These vendors provide user-friendly interfaces, pre-packaged integrations, technical support services and other perks that make implementing and managing Kafka easier and reduce time and costs by bypassing infrastructure creation in-house for their Kafka needs.
